Alej (pronounced "Alex") Keigan knew she wanted to act after playing the lead role “The Professor” in her 2nd grade school musical The Wackadoo Zoo. She continued to enjoy acting in school and church plays as well as summer drama programs throughout her youth. While receiving her Bachelor of Arts in Drama from Lee University, Alej attended LAFSC (Los Angeles Film Studies Center) in Burbank, CA where she spent the intense semester acting, directing, producing & editing short films. In addition, she held internships with talent management company Hines & Hunt Entertainment and casting director Anthony Barnao. Upon completion of LAFSC and graduation from Lee University, Alej moved to Denver, Colorado where she began acting classes with Bill Howey. Now a Los Angeles local, Alej continues to study at the Bill Howey Acting Workshop and the Second City Training Center as she pursues new film, television, theater, and internet roles. She can be seen performing with the SkovProv Players improvisation group Saturday nights at the LA Connection Comedy Theatre. In addition to her acting pursuits, Alej enjoys reading, taking photos, tennis, hiking, travel, playing with her cats, and tasting great food & drink. She recently completed her first marathon and is currently training for the NYC Marathon. |
